This is for all my sweethearts who cook prawns but dont like them! Maybe you'd like it if I cooked them for you? So there I was donning my chef's hat last night and tried to cook up a delicacy and impress you dames! (Here, I am giving a tip or two to my fellow male brethren who wants to impress the girls! Ah, how can a man survive without babes?)

Ingredients:

A few big sized prawns

For the marinade:

A little bit of cornflour
chilli powder
jeera powder
1 tsp of ginger garlic paste
some thick curd
Amchur powder if you want
Optional --mint chutney
Salt as per taste.







Method:
Marinade the prawns in the mixture and keep for about 3-6 hours. Put them through the skewers and normal microwave them for a minute. The prawns get 'curled' up. Then set your microwave on grill mode and grill them for 6 - 8 mins. (I dont like grilling the entire thing coz you may find they sometimes get burnt and give off an 'eeeewwww' smell). Your Zapped Prawns are ready! Voila!

Beverage:

These Zapped Prawns are always served with wine made from Pinot noir/Chardonnay...so shall we choose the Moet Chandon Millesime Blanc 1998 champagne...the pale gold drink with persistent fine bubbles. Even the package is neat! (I'd not respect the wine drinking dames if they went for anything less than a 1998!!!)



Serving Mode:

Once you've invited your sweetheart inside your bachelor pad, please dont give her any surprises by switching off the light and then switching it on and saying something stupid like 'Ooooh' and then scare her. The light stays switched off but you could light a few dozen scented candles and place the champagne and prawns on a small table near the window. You push aside the jacquard curtains and allow the faint dusk light to shine on her face. (Better if you are in a sea facing penthouse). You revel in her soft and glossy skin. Remember, no drooling with a wide grin...you just look...and she goes: 'What? Why do you look at me that way?' and then like a gentleman you say: 'You look absolutely gorgeous this evening, not that you dont look good at other times' (you say that matter of factly). And then she says: 'Thats so nice, thank you very much!' You lean over and give her an affectionate peck on the cheek and though you feel like doing many things to her...you'd control yourself and get away from her under the pretext of bringing some water from the fridge. If she likes you she'd come over to the fridge where you are standing and give you a tight hug and kiss you...maybe on your lips? Thats when you know that the prawns are outstanding.

Ok, I am going towards the fridge now to bring some water....
