One of the important sight seeing places in Yercaud is the Pagoda point. It is so known because of the presence of three stacks of stones piled in the rough shape of pagodas made by the hill tribes. Some say it is there as early as the Stone Age which is a bit hard to believe. There is also a temple of Lord Rama built about 20 years ago in between the Pagodas. The view from the edge of the cliff is lovely early in the morning and in the evenings and one can see a little village called Kakambadi which nestles on a plateau in between the cliffs.
